Commission on Children, Families & Community (CCFC)

The CCFC is one of 36 Commissions on Children and Families in Oregon -- there's one in each county and we're all part of the Oregon Commission on Children and Families (OCCF) system. We have a volunteer board and several volunteer committees. These are supported by our staff (about 8 FTE). (See our org chart).

Our mandate is to promote wellness for children of all ages and their families. We do this by working with the community and stakeholders to develop policy recommendations and planning frameworks. We also work to involve and support the community in making Multnomah County a great place to grow up and live. Finally, we serve as the county's Community Action Agency which oversees the delivery of anti-poverty programs here in Multnomah County.

Much of our work focuses around these three frameworks which we've had a role in developing and implementing:

Our work also centers on Youth Development and the Community Safety Net program.

Finally, we provide comprehensive community planning as directed by the state.

For more about the CCFC, please visit our web site at www.ourcommission.org.
