The Mental Health and Addiction Services Division develops and manages resources for services to adults, adolescents and children with mental illness, emotional and addictive disorders (including alcohol, other drugs and gambling). The Division is responsible for providing or contracting for a continuum of crisis intervention and treatment services, providing protective services, assessment and referral, facilitating access and authorizing reimbursement. The Division is also responsible for monitoring and improving the availability, accessibility and quality of services for mentally ill and chemically dependent persons.
