As part of the county-wide division of Information Technology,
DCJ's IT responsibilities include:

  • Coordination with and access to other criminal justice and social service databases and systems.

  • Development and maintenance of automated information systems including: JJIS (Juvenile Justice Information Systems), JIN (Juvenile Information Network), that are both used in tracking information about youth served by Juvenile Community Justice. Additionally, the SPIN (Supervision Program Information Network) is used for tracking programs and services to adult offenders in Adult Community Justice.

  • Installation and management of local and wide area networks

  • Purchase, support, and maintenance of personal computer and network hardware and software.

  • User training and support.
