Wood Village Public Works

Overview: The City of Wood Village has a history of deteriorating sanitary and storm sewers in Original Village. With replacement of these facilities, this low and moderate area of the city has been able to maintain its livability and neighborhood character.

Eligibility Criteria: Low and moderate-income residents

Program History:
The City of Wood Village first applied for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the 1980's and has incrementally replaced much of the sewer system in Original Village.

The original piping was concrete, and over time, began to fail, jeopardizing the entire system. Drainage and park improvements have since been addressed, benefiting not only low and moderate-income residents, but enhancing the entire city's livability.
