Adjustment Notices
You may have received an adjustment notice that compares
your information that you provided on your filed return versus information
after our adjustments.
Your return was generally adjusted for one of the
following reasons:
Math error: You
made a math error on your return and we have corrected it for you.
Exemption error:
You failed to claim an exemption or claimed the wrong amount.
W-2 Error: You failed
to attach a copy of your W-2 as requested and we denied your claimed
withholding. Or your attached W-2 claimed an amount in box 19 of your
W-2 that was not withheld Multnomah County income tax. Some employers,
for example, despite being instructed not to used box 19 to provide
information about the Tri-Met tax.
If you failed to attach your W-2, simply send
in a copy along with a copy of your adjustment notice and a statement
that you are enclosing a copy of your missing W-2.
